New Cyberpunk 2077 Update Makes Modding Better

CD Projekt Red, the Polish developer of Cyberpunk 2077, has recently released a new update for PC users via GOG. This update is primarily focused on modding and addresses a specific request from PC players. It aligns the .exe file version of the game with that of Steam and Epic Games Store, making it easier to create mods that are compatible across all digital PC storefronts.

Although the details regarding the download requirement and file size of the update are currently unknown, CD Projekt Red describes it as a small update. Given its smaller nature, it can be assumed that the file size will be relatively small, resulting in a quick and easy download process.

It's important to note that this update is exclusively for PC users, and console players do not need to be concerned as there are no corresponding updates for console platforms.

"We've just released a small update for Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG," says CD Projekt Red of the update via Twitter. "It is a modding-oriented update that changes the .exe file version to match the one on Steam and Epic Games Store – making it easier to create mods compatible with the game on all PC storefronts."
