Agatha: Coven of Chaos Star Confirms the Spinoff Is WandaVision Season 2

Agatha: Coven of Chaos star Debra Jo Rupp revealed that the upcoming Disney+ series will serve as a continuation of the story from WandaVision, effectively acting as its second season.

While there may not be a direct WandaVision Season 2, Agatha: Coven of Chaos aims to satisfy fans' desire for more adventures set in Westview. According to Berkshire Magazine, Debra Jo Rupp, best known for her role in That '70s Show, discussed reprising her character as Mrs. Hart and shared Marvel Studios' perspective on Coven of Chaos as the next chapter of WandaVision. "It's the second season of WandaVision for Marvel. It's similar to American Horror Story, where each season offers a whole new experience," Rupp explained. "When they called me, I was surprised because I thought my involvement ended there, and I was perfectly content with that. But when they reached out, I became incredibly excited because it's a character I rarely get to portray. She's going to be a lot of fun."

While Rupp expressed her apprehension about Marvel's strict anti-spoiler measures, she did provide a hint that Mrs. Hart will make a return "in a different capacity." The specific nature of this portrayal remains unknown. Rupp concluded by mentioning that she will soon be heading to Atlanta for an additional two months of shooting.

At the time of this writing, there is limited information available regarding Coven of Chaos. However, it has been confirmed that the series will feature the return of several characters from WandaVision, most notably the witch Agatha played once again by Kathryn Hahn. Hahn assured fans that Coven of Chaos will not only explore Agatha's character in-depth but will also provide a magical superhero adventure that further develops the mystical aspects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "I really enjoyed portraying my character in WandaVision, and I believe this series offers the most sophisticated Marvel content to date. It was a fantastic experience to delve into that world alongside such talented individuals," Hahn expressed.

Fans are particularly eager to witness the potential return of Wanda Maximoff in Coven of Chaos, as her fate was left ambiguous following her enigmatic defeat in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Elizabeth Olsen, who has portrayed the Scarlet Witch in multiple Marvel films, has been evasive about her involvement in Agatha, often evading direct answers when asked about the possibility. When questioned about Wanda's appearance in Coven, the actor simply responded, "I'm not sure if I will return."

As of now, no release date has been announced for Agatha: Coven of Chaos. However, WandaVision can be enjoyed in its entirety on Disney+.
