Fox has recently unveiled the premiere details for Krapopolis, the highly anticipated animated series from Dan Harmon, the creator of Community and Rick and Morty. Set in the mythical ancient Greece, Krapopolis follows the tumultuous journey of a dysfunctional family comprising humans, gods, and monsters as they navigate the challenges of governing one of the world's earliest cities. Amidst the chaos, they strive to avoid killing each other in the process. The series will mark its debut on FOX with a special preview event featuring two episodes on Sunday, September 24th. This will be immediately following the FOX NFL doubleheader (8:00-9:00 PM ET/5:00-6:00 PM PT) and will be broadcast live across all time zones.

Following the two-episode preview, Krapopolis will officially join the FOX Animation Domination block in its regular time slot starting Sunday, October 1st, at 8:30 PM ET/PT. Fans can catch new episodes of Krapopolis following The Simpsons (8:00 PM ET/PT) and preceding Bob's Burgers (9:00 PM) and Family Guy (9:30 PM). The series is sure to add an exciting dynamic to FOX's lineup.

FOX Entertainment's inaugural fully-owned animated series boasts an impressive voice cast including Hannah Waddingham (known for her role in Ted Lasso), Richard Ayoade (renowned for The IT Crowd), Matt Berry (from What We Do in The Shadows), Pam Murphy (featured in Mapleworth Murders), and Duncan Trussell (of The Midnight Gospel fame).

The heart of the series revolves around a flawed family consisting of humans, gods, and monsters. Together, they embark on a mission to lead humanity out of the savage wilderness and into a novel social experiment they aptly call "civilization." Krapopolis centers on Tyrannis (voiced by Ayoade), the mortal son of a goddess and the self-absorbed, narcissistic King of Krapopolis. Tyrannis navigates the challenges of ruling a city that truly lives up to its name. His mother, Deliria (voiced by Waddingham), is the goddess of self-destruction and questionable choices. She possesses immense power but appears primarily motivated by personal gain and outshining her rivals on Mount Olympus when it comes to defending civilization.

Tyrannis' father is the eccentric mantitaur Shlub (voiced by Berry) – a unique blend of half centaur (horse + human) and half manticore (lion + human + scorpion). Shlub is a devoted pleasure seeker, considering himself the life of the party who advocates for a more laid-back approach to life. Tyrannis' half-sister, Stupendous (voiced by Murphy), is the daughter of Deliria and a cyclops. On the other hand, his half-brother, Hippocampus (voiced by Trussell), is a biological mishmash resulting from Shlub's encounter with a mermaid.

The series, created by Harmon, also features him as an executive producer alongside Steve Levy. Krapopolis is produced by FOX's Bento Box Entertainment (known for Bob's Burgers and Koala Man) and has already received a renewal for its second and third seasons. Jordan Young (from BoJack Horseman) serves as the executive producer and showrunner for the first season, while Alex Rubens, Harmon's collaborator from Community and Rick and Morty, takes on the role of executive producer and showrunner for Krapopolis seasons 2 and 3.

Krapopolis is set to air this fall on FOX, offering viewers an intriguing and imaginative animated series to enjoy.
