Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Leak Reveals a Surprising DLC

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is preparing to release its new story DLC, which will be centered around the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai arc. Additionally, fans can anticipate one more DLC after that, which will conclude the current season pass. Recent hints from a reliable Dragon Ball Z insider, DbsHype, suggest that the sixth DLC will revolve around the "Peaceful World Saga," also known as the "End of Z" arc. While the exact release date for this upcoming DLC remains unknown, the timing is uncertain since the tournament expansion DLC does not yet have a confirmed release date.

DbsHype, known for their accurate Dragon Ball Z-related information, took to Twitter to tease the plans for the new Kakarot DLC. The insider stated that it is "about to be amazing" and shared two gifs featuring Goku and Uub together, providing followers with a clue about the content that will be explored.

This revelation brings a surprising twist as the "Peaceful World Saga" arc is relatively short compared to other arcs in Dragon Ball Z. Acting as an epilogue to the Buu Saga and the overall Dragon Ball Z series, this arc spans just four episodes, showcasing the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. Notably, the introduction of Uub, the human reincarnation of Majin Buu, is a key highlight, although his presence in the story is relatively brief.

The handling of the upcoming "Peaceful World Saga" DLC in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot by CyberConnect2 and Bandai Namco raises questions. These game developers have previously surprised fans with unexpected DLC plans, such as the inclusion of the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai arc, which diverged from expectations of exploring Dragon Ball Super or taking a different direction.

In response to the recent leak, DbsHype was asked about rumored Dragon Ball Super or Dragon Ball GT DLC plans for the game. The insider clarified that those comments, originating from another source, were actually referring to a potential "Next Season Pass" for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. If this is true, it implies the likelihood of a Season Pass 3 in the future, which aligns with Bandai Namco's extensive support for Dragon Ball Z games.

Currently, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has five known DLCs: A New Power Awakens Part 1, A New Power Awakens Part 2, and Trunks - The Warrior of Hope from Season Pass 1, and Bardock - Alone Against Fate, Chaos at the World Tournament, and the rumored Uub DLC from Season Pass 2. The next anticipated announcement will be the release date for the Chaos at the World Tournament DLC. Consequently, it might be some time before the sixth DLC for Kakarot is officially confirmed.
