Godzilla Minus One Synopsis Revealed

Godzilla Minus One has enlisted the talents of Takashi Yamazaki (known for Stand By Me Doraemon 3 and Lupin III: The First) as both the writer and director under Toho's banner. Fitting seamlessly into the Reiwa storyline of the franchise, the film is described by Koiju Ueda, President of Toho International, as follows: "Set in a post-war Japan, Godzilla Minus One will once again show us a Godzilla that is a terrifying and overwhelming force, which you already get a sense of from the teaser trailer and poster...The concept is that Japan, which had already been devastated by the war, faces a new threat with Godzilla, bringing the country into the 'minus.'"

This is just one of the exciting Godzilla projects currently in development, joining a roster that includes a new TV series being developed for Apple TV+, an upcoming installment in Legendary's MonsterVerse titled Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and several other undisclosed projects yet to be announced. Fans can already enjoy a wide selection of Toho's classic movies and TV shows through Pluto TV's exclusive Godzilla channel, available for streaming.
