Metallic Rogue Releases New Trailer

Studio BONES has established itself as a prominent force in the anime industry, boasting an impressive portfolio of notable adaptations. From My Hero Academia and Mob Psycho 100 to Fullmetal Alchemist and more, BONES has garnered widespread recognition. Now, the studio is set to embark on an exciting new venture with Metallic Rouge—an anime story that ventures into uncharted territory, devoid of any manga or light novel source material. Revealed at this year's Anime Expo, BONES treated fans to an enticing trailer, offering a glimpse into the world of Metallic Rouge ahead of its anticipated release early next year.

At first glance, Metallic Rouge's premise shares similarities with Ghost in the Shell, revolving around a technologically advanced future. The story follows the protagonist, Rouge, who works for the government to combat threats endangering the world. However, unlike Motoko Kusanagi's narrative, Metallic Rouge places a greater emphasis on cyber-suit battles. These battles showcase Rouge, as well as her adversaries, donning powerful robotic suits that amplify their abilities. While not on the scale of a Gundam, these suits appear to deliver formidable impact, promising thrilling action in this forthcoming anime series scheduled to debut in January of next year.

Metallic Rouge's New Trailer

As a part of this year's Anime Expo, Studio BONES unveiled the highly anticipated new trailer, which left attendees awestruck by its sheer scale. Remarkably vast in attendance, the Anime Expo provided the perfect platform for BONES to showcase their original creation, Metallic Rouge. With no existing source material to draw from, the trailers for Metallic Rouge offer anime fans an exclusive first look into the upcoming adventure of Rouge and Naomi. Though the narrative is centered around a murder investigation, it is evident that BONES intends to infuse exhilarating robot battles into the storyline, heightening the excitement for viewers.

If you haven't had the chance to explore Studio BONES' upcoming anime, let's delve into how Metallic Rouge is described by the production house itself: "In a world where humans and androids coexist, the android girl Rouge, accompanied by her companion Naomi, embarks on a mission to Mars. Their objective is to investigate 'the murder of nine artificial humans who pose a threat to the government.' Thus, the tale unfolds, chronicling the battles of the android girl, Rouge."
