Naruto's Minato Manga Is Getting Official English Release

Naruto series creator Masashi Kishimoto has exciting news for fans! He is bringing back Minato Namikaze, Naruto Uzumaki's father, for a highly anticipated new manga. To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Naruto anime adaptation, the franchise is going all out with various projects that will reignite the fandom's excitement. For the first time in a while, Kishimoto himself will be returning to the Naruto manga with a fresh story focused on one of the most beloved characters.

The celebration for Naruto's 20th Anniversary commenced with a global poll where fans voted for their favorite characters. Ultimately, Minato emerged as the top character in the entire series. As part of the winner's prize, Kishimoto will be releasing an exclusive one-shot centered around Minato. Excitingly, Viz Media has announced that this new Minato manga will receive an official English language release simultaneously with its Japanese debut.

How to Read Naruto's New Minato Manga

Titled Naruto Gaiden: Uzu no Naka no Tsumujikaze (with its official English title yet to be announced), the highly anticipated Minato Namikaze manga one-shot will consist of 55 pages and will debut in the July 18th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Excitingly, Viz Media will release the digital English version simultaneously with the Japanese release, making it accessible to fans worldwide through their digital Shonen Jump library.

According to Naruto's official website, Shueisha tantalizes fans with a glimpse of the new Minato one-shot, stating, "The story focuses on Minato Namikaze (Fourth Hokage), who claimed the top spot in the NARUTOP99 worldwide character popularity vote! What unique ninjutsu did Minato develop?!" While it remains undisclosed whether other familiar faces from the Naruto series will make an appearance, anticipation builds as the launch of this new work by Masashi Kishimoto approaches later this summer.
