Star Wars: Ahsoka Official Trailer Released

Star Wars fans have been treated to various glimpses of the highly anticipated Star Wars: Ahsoka TV series in recent months. However, today brings a brand new trailer that provides deeper insights into the show's actual plot. The trailer not only reveals how our beloved heroes have dispersed following the events of Star Wars Rebels but also offers our first comprehensive look at the live-action debut of the fan-favorite villain, Grand Admiral Thrawn. Be sure to watch the full trailer for Star Wars: Ahsoka above as the series is set to premiere on Disney+ on August 23rd.

After being a prominent figure in Star Wars Legends lore, Thrawn was reintroduced into the official Star Wars canon through Star Wars Rebels. He became a formidable adversary for the Ghost crew, comprised of heroes Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus, Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, and Zeb Orrelios. While assisting the Rebel Alliance in their fight against the Galactic Empire, they were all aware of the threat posed by Thrawn as a member of the villainous organization.

Ahsoka Tano, portrayed by Rosario Dawson, made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian and confirmed her determination to bring down this formidable foe. In the finale of Star Wars Rebels, both Ezra and Thrawn were presumed to have met their fates, though the show's final moments hinted at Ezra's survival, indicating that Thrawn likely survived as well.

The new trailer not only confirms that Thrawn is alive and thriving but also provides an update on the current status of the Rebels characters since their last appearance. Hera (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) continues to shine as one of the Rebel Alliance's finest pilots, asserting her authority within the organization. Meanwhile, Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), who was once Ahsoka's apprentice, appears to have experienced a strained relationship with her former mentor.

Beloved Star Wars hero Ahsoka Tano makes her highly-anticipated return in the upcoming Disney+ series, Star Wars: Ahsoka. Portrayed by Rosario Dawson, Ahsoka will take center stage in this new series, set to premiere on the streaming platform in August. The show picks up after the events of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, where Ahsoka was last seen embarking on a quest to find the elusive Grand Admiral Thrawn, portrayed by Lars Mikkelsen. During her journey, Ahsoka also aided Luke Skywalker in training Grogu. Joining Ahsoka on her new mission are her longtime allies Sabine Wren, played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo, and Hera Syndulla, portrayed by Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Together, they will strive to locate Thrawn, who vanished into the depths of space following a confrontation with Ezra Bridger, portrayed by Eman Esfandi. Star Wars: Ahsoka is the latest addition to the expanding roster of live-action series crafted by Lucasfilm's talented creative duo, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
