"Take a look at the breathtaking new poster for #Ahsoka and prepare yourself for the extraordinary two-episode series premiere of this Star Wars Original series, arriving on @DisneyPlus starting August 23," they announced.

Star Wars: Ahsoka Gearing Up For Two-Episode Premiere

Disney+ has officially confirmed that Star Wars: Ahsoka is set for an eight-episode run. Interestingly, this Lucasfilm series follows the pattern of other shows on the streaming platform by debuting with two episodes. Furthermore, the episodes' runtime appears to be slightly longer compared to entries in The Mandalorian. As some viewers desire to spend as much time as possible immersed in these shows, this may work in favor of Star Wars: Ahsoka.

During an interview with Collider earlier this year, Dave Filoni shared his insights on the matter, stating, "That's a thought-provoking question. I would say it's quite relative in this line of work. One thing Jon [Favreau] and I firmly believe in is maintaining a brisk pace and keeping the narrative focused. It's definitely a swifter and more intense approach than what George [Lucas] followed. My episodes initially had a substantial length since I wrote them all, so they possess a unique quality. Comparatively, 'The Jedi' episode, for instance, had to be concise and fast-paced to effectively showcase the action. However, I would say the episodes fall within the same range as The Mandalorian in terms of duration."

Star Wars Creative Team Excited For Fans To See Ahsoka

For devoted fans of Star Wars Rebels, the arrival of this series has been a highly anticipated moment. However, behind the scenes, the creative masterminds responsible for developing these shows have poured their hearts and souls into the project. Their excitement to unveil Star Wars: Ahsoka to the fans is immeasurable. Here's a glimpse into the journey they embarked on to bring this remarkable series to Disney+.

"It's absolutely exhilarating, I must say," shared Dave Filoni with Empire Magazine, reflecting on his role in shaping this chapter of the Star Wars universe. "It's something you envision doing for a long time, and then it becomes quite startling when you find yourself actually having to make it happen... I had conceived of this grand adventure for Ahsoka long ago, and it's fascinating to witness its evolution. Years ago, I couldn't have fathomed that it would sprout from a narrative tree that intertwined with characters like Din Djarin or a child resembling Yoda. It's been an invaluable lesson for me on how, when collaborating with other talented creators like Jon Favreau, they can enrich and expand the dimensions of your work."

Star Wars: Ahsoka Debuts on Disney+ Next Month

Beloved Star Wars heroine Ahsoka Tano makes a triumphant return in the highly anticipated series, Star Wars: Ahsoka, exclusively on Disney+. Portrayed by Rosario Dawson, Ahsoka's thrilling adventures will unfold when the series premieres in August on the streaming platform. Picking up after the events of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, we witnessed the former Jedi embarking on a quest to find Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) and aiding Luke Skywalker in training Grogu. As Ahsoka embarks on her new mission, she will be joined by her trusted allies Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) in their relentless pursuit of Thrawn. The enigmatic Thrawn disappeared into the depths of space following a confrontation with Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi). Star Wars: Ahsoka is the latest live-action series created by the talented duo of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni at Lucasfilm.
