Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War

Fans of Bleach can look forward to the release of the official soundtrack for the Thousand-Year Blood War anime. According to the official website for the series, the album is set to hit the shelves on September 27th, and preorders are already being accepted. The soundtrack will be priced at 3,300 yen, which is approximately $22.50.

But that's not the only exciting collectible for Bleach enthusiasts. MegaHouse has also unveiled an impressive statue of the series' protagonist, Ichigo Kurosaki, in his "Thousand-Year Blood War" arc appearance. The statue captures Ichigo wielding his formidable Zanpakutō, Zangetsu, with the ground around him hinting at the sheer power he exudes.

The Bleach manga, created by Tite Kubo, graced the pages of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from August 2001 to August 2016, spanning an impressive 74 volumes. The story revolves around Ichigo, a high school delinquent with the ability to see spirits. After a fateful encounter with Rukia Kuchiki, an injured Soul Reaper, Ichigo gains the powers needed to combat Hollows, malevolent entities that feed on souls.

Pierrot, the studio responsible for hit shows like Naruto and Yu Yu Hakusho, aired the first Bleach adaptation from October 2004 to March 2012. The sequel series, Thousand-Year Blood War, released its first half toward the end of the previous year. It adapts the final chapters of Kubo's manga and follows the intense conflict between the Soul Society and the Wandenreich, a secretive Quincy empire. The new anime introduces a host of new characters, including members of the enigmatic Zero Division and the formidable antagonist Yhwach. It also brings back beloved characters like Renji Abarai, Byakuya Kuchiki, and Uryū Ishida. Moreover, the adaptation surprises viewers and manga readers alike with previously unseen content, including the revelation of 5th division Captain Shinji Hirako's Bankai.

As a part of the shōnen genre's Big Three, the Bleach manga and its anime adaptations have enjoyed tremendous success, with over 130 million manga copies sold worldwide. Fans express their love for Kubo's creation through various forms of fan content, including cosplay. Recent examples include a fierce portrayal of the 11th division Captain Kenpachi Zaraki and an interpretation of Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, the former 3rd Espada.

For fans in the United States, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is available for streaming on Hulu.
