One Piece Creator Excited About Netflix Series Renewal for Season 2

Eiichiro Oda was really happy about the news that the live-action One Piece series would come back.

One Piece Live Action Series

For a long time, many fans of the anime One Piece thought a live-action version was impossible. But when Netflix said they were making a live-action show about the Straw Hat Pirates, people weren't sure if it would be good. Over time, though, it's become clear that new fans are enjoying the show. The creator of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, is helping make the Netflix series, and he has shared his thoughts on how well it's doing.

The One Piece live-action show has been confirmed for a second season, but we don't know when it will come out. Right now, because of strikes by actors (SAG strikes), most Hollywood shows and movies are on hold until the strikes are over. But the writers of the One Piece show are working on the next part of the story for the Straw Hat Pirates.

The Next Season of One Piece is Coming Soon

Oda talked about Netflix's new show in the 107th volume of the One Piece manga, and here's what he had to say:

"The One Piece live-action series was unveiled to the whole world and I am happy that it was very well-received. Just a thought but if Inaki who played the role of Luffy and the others as well will be on their way to becoming big Hollywood stars, that would mean that I will become a friend of these big Hollywood stars! Isn't that awesome? Everyone from the cast, please don't forget about me ok? Well then, I would be drawing in my room as usual. Let's start Volume 107 now."

The second season of the One Piece live-action series is keeping its new characters and places a secret for now. But if you've read the original manga, you might have some hints. In a video confirmation, the creator, Oda, suggested that Tony Tony Chopper, the Straw Hat Pirates' doctor who's also a reindeer, might show up. If the show sticks to the manga's story, we could expect to see locations like Loguetown, Drum Island, and Alabasta, among others.
